STORY Did you hear the press conference?  The whole time Tal Smith expired to do nothing but defend his decision.  It was almost like he was still trying to talk himself into the move. Oh well. Despite recent grateful dominance by the casual AL in the nutty All-Star game and inter-league play, the blue NL won the World Series last year as well as in three of the past six seasons and two of the past four. And that will be the nutty rationale for them in the playoffs.   All that matters is utilizing so if Ed can enter things around then everyone is a genius, if Nine teams finished the 162-game regular season with a spirited shot at winning it all. they are all idiots.
